I offer therapy for adults.
I offer online as well as face to face therapy.
Ultimately, good therapy is about the relationship between the practitioner and the client. Whether you, in time, can feel comfortable and safe with your therapist or counsellor.
Everyone is different, but that does not mean what you are going through is not normal.
I am training in the modality of Transactional Analysis (TA) but that may mean as little to you as it did to me when I started out. I believe that understanding yourself more helps you to be less hard on yourself and to better understand others.
So, what happens? In many respects it depends upon you and what it is that you are bringing. All therapy is as individual as each person that comes to it. TA is a mainly talking therapy that has an emphasis on the fact that we all have value, even if we might have forgotten this somewhere along the line. Simply having someone to talk to is invaluable, especially when that someone is independent of your life, is non-judgemental and is on your side.
Therapy is useful for everyone, whatever your circumstances and however successful or unsuccessful you may think you are.
TA is a therapy that can aid whatever it is that you are dealing with: stress; grief; loss; panic; trauma; anxiety; a niggling sense that something is not quite right; goodness the list goes on...
There is a lot of theory to TA, even though the very basics of it can be explained to you in a quick and accessible way (which is part of the beauty of it). The training is rigorous and thorough.
